Female Lumpsucker

I posted a video of a bright red male lumpsucker the other week. Today at St Abbs we came across a female. As you can see, she is very dull compared to the male. She was sitting in thick kelp and then moved onto a rock briefly before taking shelter again. There's a bit of backscatter in the picture as there were lots of particles in the water. I can't help but think that in the close-up she looks like ET!
